Position Filled:  Curator of Collections and Exhibits

Ashley KircherThe Sitka Historical Society and Museum announces the hire of Ashley Kircher as our new Curator of Collections and Exhibits. Ms. Kircher is a Harvard graduate who completed her Master’s in Museum Studies at San Francisco State University. Her thesis was “Understanding Sacred: Museums, Communities, and the Appropriate Display of Sacred & Religious Objects.” Besides work in collections management & curatorial practice, Ms. Kircher brings expertise in web design, grant writing and fund-raising. Very much an outdoors person familiar with Alaska, Ashley is excited to join our community. The Sitka Historical Museum is delighted to introduce her to Sitka.
